Noise Hunters Devlog 12 - Gunner


Hello [Code_Name: MEVYE] [Location: CLASSIFIED], welcome back!

Today we will talk about one of the enemies you can encounter in Noise Hunters.

Recap: All the enemies in Noise Hunters are blind and specialize in the detection of sounds. Depending on the type of enemy, they will react in different ways, presenting different challenges to the player. In addition every enemy has a type of "radar", called internally as HES. If the player is inside the HES, the enemy will know exactly where is the player for a couple of seconds.


Now with the Gunner, as the name indicates, this enemy is specialized in range combat. It has a rifle that is capable of shooting a highly dangerous projectile before reloading, this bullet is capable of killing MEVYE in one shot. This enemy has a more aggressive behaviour: when it detects a noise, he will charge the shot directly in the direction the sound came from, after it will go to the position to "recon" and use the HES to detect nearby anomalies. If the gunner doesn't detect the player, he will return to his patrol.
